Christ-Centered Easter Ideas

Recreate the Last Supper
Create a “Jerusalem dinner” on Thursday night (we sit on the floor with blankets and cushions, bring all our houseplants around us, put in middle-eastern music etc). Tell the story of the Jewish Passover on this night and explain how incredible it is that this was the night that Jesus was in gethsemane as the sacrificial lamb.
Journal about the Savior
Take a few minutes alone or as a family to write and/or share your feelings and beliefs about Jesus as your personal Savior.

Easter Book Unwrap
Just like a common Christmas tradition, wrap up a stack of books and open one a day for the month or weeks leading up to Easter! Kids gravitate and will ask questions when good books are out.
12 Service Acts of Easter
Do secret acts of service each day individually or as a family (think the 12 days of Christmas!)
Daily Artwork
Hang pictures up each day that show what happened on that day of the Holy Week. These visuals have been super helpful for me too to remember what happened each day.
Nightly Devotional
Share a nightly devotional with friends or family. We do this by hiding a big Easter egg with a symbol of that day of Holy Week, a treat, and scriptures to read about it that day inside. You could act out different parts, share movie clips available of those events, or simply tell the stories.
