Nativity Cross-Stitching & Needlepoint Stocking Patterns

My sister-in-law cross-stitched all of her kids’ stockings and I love looking at them every time we visit during Christmas. Such love and hard work are put into these pieces! I already have stockings for my children but I am so motivated to have a cross-stitch piece as part of our Christmas decorations that I dove into the black hole of the internet to see what I could find.

Of course, I wanted it to serve a purpose more than just pretty decor so I naturally narrowed my search to nativity scenes. I thought it would be cute to hang a stocking for Jesus each year and these are what I found.

1 | Probably my favorite needlepoint stocking. Vintage and colorful.
2 | I love all the animals in it and that this stocking is simple.
3 | This is also a top favorite stocking. I love the vintage look to it.
4 | I love the simplicity of the scene on this one.
5 | These colors are more abstract and bright on this one. Very pretty.
6 | This stocking also has some fun bright colors!
7 | The scene doesn’t have baby Jesus in it but this one definitely feels Christmasy and the colors are more muted to match your home better.
8 | Very detailed and classic cross-stitch pattern. Looks like a lot of work but would be so worth it in the end!
9 | Another shepherd depiction with a beautiful angel at the center.

We bought this nature kaleidoscope over a year ago We bought this nature kaleidoscope over a year ago and she’s finally interested in it! So after a morning of TV time so mama can get a few things done, we’re enjoying running out to our rainy garden and grabbing anything we can find to look at! 🌱✨🌷
Air dry clay yesterday - painting this morning! Ha Air dry clay yesterday - painting this morning! Hazel didn’t even want to wait for breakfast! We’ll read “Egg Tree” and hang our egg ornaments on sticks gathered from the yard which I’m positive are not strong enough for the weight of these ornaments but we’ll give it a go! 🤪
Impromptu photo shoot directed by Hazel this morni Impromptu photo shoot directed by Hazel this morning needs its own spot here. This bunny sure brings a lot of happiness to our home and I think when we get some official family photos in a few months, we will just have to have Pinkie join us so I can get these same kind of smiles 🤪🤣. (I promise no bunnies were hurt during these photos. But I am still amazed daily that she doesn’t have any crushed bones - it’s a true miracle!!)
Today is exactly a month until Easter Sunday and I Today is exactly a month until Easter Sunday and I decided we will celebrate it just like Christmas - for an entire month! Will be wrapping all these books in cute spring paper today and open one up a day until Easter. I’ll let you know which ones are a hit with my kids (we are slowly working on patience with books since both kids want to turn the page after 1-2 sentences ha) and I am excited to use all the resources I’ve gathered to make Easter just as exciting of a season as Christmas! I am looking forward to having something help pass the last few weeks of pregnancy - although the central focus will obviously be Jesus Christ and His glorious resurrection. ‘Tis the season! 🐣✝️🌸🌷
Happy Valentine’s to my forever best friend who Happy Valentine’s to my forever best friend who is silly, sweet, thoughtful, hard-working, insightful, crazy intelligent, supportive, faithful, loyal, and the most loving husband and father you could ask for. I’ll blame it on the pregnancy hormones but I can’t watch this little video without tearing up — I feel so grateful to have you in my life Smiley Ryan! 🥰😘
Happy 4th birthday to the spunkiest, silliest, swe Happy 4th birthday to the spunkiest, silliest, sweetest little blondie I could have only imagined in my wildest dreams I would get to mother. This girl feels hard and loves even harder. She has taught me a lifetime of lessons in just her short little time here so far. I can tell 4 is going to be a good one ✨💕 Her request for a rainbow strawberry bunny puppy cake came true - and we had tons of cousins to celebrate with! 🥳 Feeling especially grateful today for sweet Miss Hazeldoodle!
These are the kinds of things that get a Type A st These are the kinds of things that get a Type A stay-at-home mom excited. 🤪 I printed physical photos of my kids (I used @artifactuprising), am writing the date on the back, and organizing them by year with little labels for easy access! These photos will be used at birthday parties, and a place to memory keep my favorites of each sweet child as they continue to grow up and change day by day. 🥰
