Rose Water

Use as a toner by mixing 1 part witch hazel and 1 part rosewater. Easy to make!

  • Rose Petals
  • 1 Cup of Water
  • Stainer and saucepan

Take your 1/3 cup of rose petals and add to a saucepan with 1 cup of water⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Boil your water on low heat for 15-20 minutes. Make sure to keep the water from coming to a simmer, as too much heat can damage the beneficial properties of the flower.⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After, the color of the rose petals will fade and should be pale. Pour the rosewater through the mesh strainer and into a jar.⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Don’t forget to add used petals to your compost.⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Let cool for 25-30 minutes before sealing and placing your rosewater in the fridge. Keep refrigerated until you’re ready to use it.⁣
