I love trying to incorporate kids into Mother’s Day gifts and gathered a couple of my favorite ideas for you to try this Mother’s Day!

1 | Let your kids draw on some wooden spoons. Later, take a wood etching tool and burn it in. Grandma will love seeing the hearts and love burned in while she cooks. Personalize a cutting board from the whole family instead!
2 | Take any recent photos of your kids with their Grandma and order a Chatbooks or Pinhole Press! You know Grandmas love any and all gifts that incorporate photos of their grandkids.
3 | This idea comes from a friend who took photos of her kids, printed and cut out, then laminated and poked holes to create the cutest little unique bookmark for Grandma! I love this one so much.
4 | Go on a nature walk with your child, find some pretty flowers, and stamp them onto sheets of beeswax fabric so your Grandma can use to wrap items in something made with love. Google Hapa Zome natural dye printing for tutorials and ideas!

5 | Give cyanotype a try! Kids can easily participate in this activity and you can find tons of tutorials online for how to make this. I think a canvas tote bag would be a great gift for Grandma!
6 | Make a book about your grandma! Or an ancestor from your Grandma’s side of the family. Cuento books is by far the cutest and easiest way to do so. I made one about my great-grandma Lucy and I love reading it to Hazel.
7 | Marbelize Paper Card Take some shaving cream and food coloring and let your kids mix it into a beautiful mess. Press a paper on top, wipe it off, and you’ve got the most beautiful card to mail to Grandma!
8 | Send a custom puzzle of your favorite photo of Grandma that she and your kids can do whenever you visit. Pinhole Press has a good 60 piece one.
9 | Write a meaningful note and frame it with some pressed flowers that your child picked for Grandma. Something sweet that she will cherish and can hang in her room.
