Wait, where did my baby go? James is 4 months and Wait, where did my baby go? James is 4 months and is now older than what Hazel was when we moved here to St. Louis. Time is so weird sometimes. James is obsessed with his hands and is either sucking on them or doing his new trick of blowing raspberries. He is deep in the 4 month sleep regression which means mama’s goal of no caffeine has been broken, but for good reason 🤪😴. His dimpled smile is too cute to stay mad at so I don’t hold any grudges. He literally gasps for joy when you come into his eyesight, he has a great little laugh now, and he hates being left alone in a room. Hazel makes the cutest 😲 face when she hears him waking up and she is always concerned about his well-being when he drops a toy or is fussy. They will make for a great duo soon, especially since I’m pretty sure he will surpass her in size pretty soon! And thus ends my update of the cutest baby alive. Not biased at all 😉 #jamesryangrew
Things are getting crazy over here this Saturday n Things are getting crazy over here this Saturday night 😜 #labelallthethings
You grabbed your dirty boots and found what seemed You grabbed your dirty boots and found what seemed to you the most perfect seat to slowly and deliberately put them on. Usually I would holler at you to get off the dishwasher door but this time I stood still and watched. One foot pointed, twisted, and slid in. Weight shifted and the other boot glided on. You have put on your boots many a time but this time stopped me in my tracks as I wondered when that little spot will no longer be the perfect seat. When you will no longer fit in those boots that were purchased before you were walking. You stood up, noticed me snapping a photo, and walked off with a cute “bye!” to the door as if you could reach the handle, leave the house, and were going out for an errand. Once you realized I would refuse to let you outside pantless, whining ensued. The moment was gone but the magic was still there, locked forever inside this little photo. I crave to seek those magic moments when I so clearly see God’s glorious work and love surrounding me. If I look for them, I find a magic moment every single day. What was your magic moment today that stopped you in your tracks for just a split second? Write it down below, I want to hear!
Since I’ve been posting so much about my babies Since I’ve been posting so much about my babies I thought I’d do an update on our plant babies too. 😉 In the second photo, there are 4 types of microgreens (sunflower, beets, salad mix, and speckled peas), a blueberry and raspberry bush, green beans, cilantro, basil, cucumbers, snap peas, tomatoes, and jalapeños. We’ve lost some to mold but so far things are moving along great! We got too excited and seeded our summer garden plants way too early so we’re crossing our fingers that they don’t suffer because of it and will still produce a good product. Hopefully it warms up before they flower or we might need to bring bees into our basement too. 😆🐝 @ryanrucker37 gets all the credit for being the loving nurturer to these plant babies though. He has done such an amazing job getting our basement to this point and all my gardening dreams are coming true because of his dedication and hard work. If he’s not in the clinic working hard in school, he is researching and figuring out ways to make this garden more efficient or giving the gentle care and attention to each individual plant to make sure they are watered and healthy (while also being a kick-A dad).
Snapped these photos and just had to share his cut Snapped these photos and just had to share his cuteness with the world 😍. And share this amazing weighted swaddle that has helped James fall asleep so quickly! The two photos are within minutes of each other. 🙌🏻 I think it’s obvious that James likes it! I want an adult-sized one for myself 😉
Need a quiet activity for your toddler to play wit Need a quiet activity for your toddler to play with in the morning (bedhead and all 😉)? This was an easy DIY sorter made with just a box, PVC pipes, and wooden dowels and it entertained her long enough for me to get breakfast on the table for her! Credit goes to @ryanrucker37 for using the PVC cutter because I am the weakest person alive 😅. #montessori #montessoriactivity #montessoridiy #mckenziesuemakestoys
Is it just me, or do you also feel clueless when i Is it just me, or do you also feel clueless when it comes to best practices for your skincare? I have never had a skincare routine and I am determined to take better care of my skin this year and establish a routine. I need your help!! I feel I should definitely have one before I turn 30 next year. I pulled out all the products I currently (shown here but I use none consistently). As somewhat of a minimalist, I don’t want loads of products to clutter my bathroom but I really want to hear the skincare product you can’t go without! Comment below and I’ll also be asking specific questions on my stories today that I’d love to hear your input on!
